Delete your data
Two ways to delete everything
Open the app and tap Profile → System & Privacy → Delete account. That's the fastest path — we file the request immediately, sign you out, and your data is permanently removed within 30 days.

Delete from inside the app
This is the recommended path because it's instant — no waiting for us to verify your identity. Everything happens automatically.
Delete by email
If you can't access the app — uninstalled, lost device, account locked out — send a deletion request to privacy@jewekle.com with the following:
From: the email address registered to your Jewekle account
Subject: Account deletion request
Body: A one-line confirmation that you want your account and all associated data deleted.
We'll get back to you as soon as we can. We may ask one verification question (something only you would know — typically the rough date you signed up or a recent merchant in your invoices) before processing. This protects you from someone else deleting your account.
What gets deleted
When your deletion request completes, the following are permanently removed:
- Your account record (email, hashed password)
- Every invoice and line item we hold
- Your category corrections and learned rules
- Your spending goals and budget configurations
- Your household membership (if you're in one)
- Your sync queue and any provider credentials we cached
Anonymous analytics events tied to your distinct ID are also disassociated and either deleted or anonymized within the same 30-day window.
What survives, briefly
A few things stay slightly longer for legitimate reasons:
- Backups: our database backups have a 30-day retention window. Your data may exist in a snapshot for up to 30 additional days before being overwritten. Snapshots are encrypted and not user-accessible.
- Logs: generic server logs (request paths, error messages) that don't contain your invoice data are retained for 90 days for security purposes, with personally identifying information stripped within 30 days.
- Crash reports (Sentry): retained for 90 days. These don't contain invoice contents, but if any crash was attributed to your user ID, that linkage is removed within 30 days.
Want to export first?
Before deleting, you can request a data export — a JSON archive of every invoice, correction, goal, and preference associated with your account. Email us with the subject "Data export request" and we'll deliver it via a time-limited download link as soon as we can.
